NeuralMag

An open-source nodal finite-difference micromagnetic code with PyTorch and JAX backends, developed for inverse problems: the simulation is fully differentiable, so geometries and material parameters can be optimized with respect to a target response. Runs on GPUs.

magnum.np

A GPU-accelerated finite-difference micromagnetic framework based on PyTorch with a compact Python interface. It is used for a large part of the simulation work in our publications, from skyrmion energetics to spin-wave spectra.

Simulation in the group

Our micromagnetic codes and simulations accompany our experimental investigations: sample designs are tested in simulation before fabrication, and measured spectra are compared with simulated ones. We use these codes for the energetics of skyrmions and antiskyrmions, for spin-wave spectra in curved geometries, and, combined with elastic eigenmode solvers, for the magnon–phonon coupling of three-dimensional structures. Both codes are open source, and contributions are welcome.
